GCHSCHL All Star Game

The Greater Columbus High School Club Hockey League (GCHSCHL) All Star Game was established in 2006 so that the league could pit its top 36 players against each other in a showcase of its top talent. The game is scheduled for the weekend following the Buckeye Cup High School Club Hockey State Championships.

The two All Star Teams are made up of players chosen by the teams' regular season coaches in a tiered selection process which rewards the top teams in the league with more All Star players. Team's ranked 1st, 4th, 6th and 7th in the regular season play for Team White and face a Team Red comprised of players from the 2nd, 3rd and 5th placed teams. The six goaltenders for the game are chosen, one each, from the leagues top six teams and appear in one period each. The two teams' head coaches are the head coaches from the top two regular season teams, while their assistant positions are filled by the head coaches from the rest of the league's teams.

This is a great opportunity for the league to showcase its best players in an on-ice display that was not been seen in the GCHSCHL or central Ohio high school hockey before the inaugural game on Saturday, March 18th, 2006. This is not a "Senior Game", but instead a true All Star game to showcase the league's top talent.
