The Buckeye Cup
Ohio High School Club Hockey
State Championship

The Buckeye Cup, was established in 2005 as a post season State Championship tournament for the high school club teams in the state of Ohio. Initiated by the Greater Columbus High School Club Hockey League (GCHSCHL) in Columbus, the North Coast High School Hockey League (NCHSHL) in Cleveland and the Cincinnati High School Hockey League (CHSHL) in Cincinnati, the Buckeye Cup High School Club Hockey State Tournament takes the top four regular season teams from each of the three leagues.

Since the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) does not permit non-OHSAA-sanctioned teams to participate in the OHSAA High School Hockey State Championship Tournament, this presents an opportunity for the high school club teams to participate on the State Championship level.

The tournament takes place during the first weekend of March after the league's regular season and league championship tournaments have concluded.
